Deepak Bhardwaj's wife and two sons have faced several rounds of questioning since the BSP leader was shot dead at his Rajokri farmhouse on Tuesday, sources said. Police are probing family dispute and business rivalry as motive for murder and have not given a clean chit to Bhardwaj's wife Ramesh Kumari and sons Hitesh and Nitesh. Police believe a dispute over money led to the murder. The sons, sources said, were been questioned on the property angle but nothing has emerged so far. Police sources said a majority of Bhardwaj's property was registered in his name and he was not giving his family a share in the money. Sources said Bhardwaj did not keep his family in the loop about his property deals and had asked his wife and sons to return the ownership of the Dwarka-based school, Shiksha Bharati School, which they were running. Police are also investigating if a woman, an acquaintance of Bhardwaj, was linked to the murder. Sources said property dispute was one of the reasons why Bhardwaj's family separated from him. Sources said it is possible that a very close relative of Bhardwaj was the main conspirator for the murder as the assailants knew his daily schedule — the time he took his morning walk — and the layout of the famhouse.
