LAHORE - Our Staff Reporter/Agencies - Indian foreign minister Saturday welcomed Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf with 'open arms' in Jaipur before the premier along with his family prayed for peace in his country and the whole world at the shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer. But the inner sourness of this sugarcoated welcome was revealed by the Indian Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh, who reportedly said they will aggressively react to any violation of ceasefire by Pakistan at the Line of Control in Kashmir. "If they (Pak troops) violate ceasefire, hum bhi churian pehan ke nahin baithe hain (we are not wearing bangles). Our men will also fire. This work is done at the tactical level and it is happening," he roared at a gathering of ex-servicemen in Chandigarh. The military Singh's threat to Pakistan follows the warning of the civilian Sing, PM Manmohan, who on the eve of Raja's visit said that ties with Pakistan cannot be normalised unless it control the 'terrorism machine' operating at its territory. Another embarrassment for the visiting dignitary came from the symbolic spiritual head of the Ajmer shrine Zainul Abedin Ali Khan, who refused to assist PM Raja during his pilgrimage over the killings of Indian soldiers at the LoC.
