Malaysia Airlines said one of its aircraft made an emergency landing safely in Kuala Lumpur in wee hours Monday shortly after departing for Bangalore, India.

Flight MH192, which was carrying 159 passengers and seven crew members, was forced to turn back to Kuala Lumpur International Airport due to a faulty right landing gear after taking off at 10.09 p.m. Kuala Lumpur time, Malaysia Airlines said in a statement.

The Boeing B737-800 aircraft landed back at the airport about four hours later, Malaysia Airlines said. It didn't elaborate further.
