BJP leader Varun Gandhi meets Shashi Tharoor - Mumbai Mirror

In a sudden and surprising development, BJP leader Varun Gandhi drove to Shashi Tharoor's residence on Wednesday evening, two days after he was questioned for the first time by the Delhi Police in connection with the murder of his wife Sunanda Pushkar. His visit is linked to nature of question cops pose to Tharoor about Sunanda's movement just a day before her death

While Varun himself tweeted that he asked to meet Dr Tharoor for External Affairs Committee agenda for next session and was there for 10 minutes, his visit set tongues wagging.

BJP sources said Varun's visit to Tharoor's Lodhi Estate residence had nothing official and was purely personal.

Speculation was rife that the Gandhi scion's visit to the former Union minister could be linked to his latest round questioning by the police.

Tharoor was questioned about Sunanda's movement just a day before her death when she had travelled in the vehicle of a powerful Congress leader to meet with top Congress leaders. He was shown CCTV footage

In a series of tweets, BJP leader Dr Subramanum Swamy said "Did Sunanda leave Leela on the night of Jan 16? Whose car, to meet whom, why & for how long? If I get confirmation I will tweet"
