GURGAON: Tula Ram, a first year student of Gurgaon College of Engineering, has been admitted to the ICU of a local hospital on Tuesday, after his seniors allegedly poisoned him and then beat him up, when he came to give his first semester exam.

The victim's family members alleged that Tula Ram went to give his Math exam, and during break time he was found unconscious in the park outside the college campus with foam coming out of his mouth.

His body contained severe injuries, the family members alleged. They also added that the cops had reached the spot late.

Tula Ram lives in Delhi's Vijay Enclave.

The college management immediately rushed him to Sunrise Hospital, Gurgaon, where he has been kept on ventilator, and his condition is said to be critical.

"He will be on observation for 48 hours. He could have been poisoned," said an official at the hospital.

Some of Tula Ram's friends complained that they had named the seniors with whom he was involved in the fight, but the management did not take action.

His friends said the seniors used to frequently bully Tula Ram. The college management did not even bother to inform his parents about admitting their son in the hospital.

The Gurgaon Police are investigating the case and waiting for the victim to regain consciousness.
