| New Delhi, April 29, 2013, DHNS; The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party presented around 10.5 lakh protest letters to Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Sunday after it staged a protest at Jantar Mantar here in a formal launch of its campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections. The Aam Aadmi Party's called off its march to Sheila Dikshit's residence in the morning as she 'agreed' to receive the letters. Party leaders said around 8:30 am, they had received a call from her asking for a team of four to five to come to her house and submit the letters. Kejriwal said the AAP would prepare 71 manifestos for the upcoming elections. "One for each Vidhan Sabha constituency and one main manifesto for Delhi. The constituency-wise manifestos will address problems faced by people and will be made by interacting with them," Kejriwal said. On May 19, the AAP and its supporters would gherao the local MLAs in all 70 constituencies regardless of the party they belonged to. "People will go to the houses of their local MLAs and ask them what have been they doing when prices of water and electricity were being unfairly hiked," he said. Around 2:30 pm, a 10-member delegation delivered the letters to the CM's house. A party spokesperson said the people had pledged that they would not pay their bills that had been inflated due to the alleged collusion between the Delhi government and big corporate houses. Kejriwal said the protest will not cease until the prices of power and electricity were reduced. "The water meters installed by the Delhi government were faulty. They were causing bills to inflate many fold," he said.
