Surat, Feb 15: BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Friday lashed out at the Congress of playing votebank politics over the Telangana issue. Retaliating over the 'poison cultivation' remark that the Congress top leadership had hurled at him a few days ago, Modi said that it is the Congress which has cultivated poison in Andhra Pradesh, so much so that the people from the same region have begun to see each other with suspicion.
Modi, who was addressing a rally here where he flagged off a Vikas Jyoti Yatra, said the Congress's way of creating Telangana has left the entire state burning. "Neither Telangana nor Seemandhra are happy," he said.
Taking a sharp dig at the Congress which often attacks him on charges of abetting anti-minority riots in his state in 2002, Modi asked it is to be seen who cultivates poison and who harvests love.
