India's 'tough talk' doesn't help, Pak violates ceasefire again Zee Media Bureau

Srinagar: Despite India 'talking tough' to over the killing of five Indian soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has violated ceasefire five times in the past 48 hours.

The latest violation was reported at 5 am on Monday from Poonch sector.

Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan fired at three forward posts along in the Kanachak belt of Jammu district, seriously injuring a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan.

Ceasefire violation was also reported from Balakote-Mendhar forward belt in Poonch district.

On Friday, Pakistani Army had fired around 7,000 rounds of heavy Pika ammunition and mortar shells during the exchanges which lasted seven hours along the Line of Control.

Another BSF constable injured in firing in Samba succumbed to his injuries in AIIMS on Sunday.

There have been 57 ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops this year between January 1 to August 5, which is 80 percent more than the corresponding period last year.

On August six, a group of 20 heavily armed men led by Pakistani troops had entered 450 metres into the Indian territory in the Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir and ambushed a patrol killing five Indian soldiers.
