The protesters later submitted a memorandum to deputy commissioner N Jayaram.

Dalit organizations have demanded Ramdev's immediate arrest and threatened to call for a Belgaum bandh on April 29. Speaking on behalf of various dalit organizations, activist Gajanan Devarmani said: "Police should immediately arrest Ramdev, seize his properties and send him out of the country."

In Davanagere, members of the Dalit Sangharsh Samithi took out a rally on the main roads of the city alleging that Ramdev had humiliated dalit sentiments.
